UPDATES ON THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS BETWEEN AHVA AND SBCA

AHVA Bulletin No. 2024-0707

Dear Neighbors,

We are writing to inform you about an important matter concerning our community.

The Association would like to bring to your attention the attached position paper, which addresses a significant issue that has arisen with San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) regarding the use of Don Manolo Boulevard.

During a recent hearing that was held on July 8, 2024, SBCA presented a statement to the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Muntinlupa City, raising concerns about the requirement of AHVA for non-residents to secure village stickers for convenient access to these roads. Despite the public nature of these roads, the AHVA has historically maintained control over access to ensure the safety, security, and tranquility of our village.

While SBCA has chosen to escalate this matter, AHVA remains committed to taking the high road and addressing their concerns with dignity and respect. The position paper includes historical context, legal references, and a clear explanation of our actions, which are consistent with past practices and supported by legal decisions. Our goal is to ensure that our village remains a secure and tranquil place to live.

We trust that the explanations and information provided in the position paper will clarify our position and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents. AHVA will continue to monitor this situation closely and will keep you updated on any developments.

While the matter is still being resolved, we expect heavy traffic during school opening  which will start on August 5, 2024. We adivse residents and guests to utilize gate 1 (Don Jesus Boulevard) entry and exits during these peak hours.

Your support and understanding are greatly appreciated as we navigate this matter.

Thank you for your attention to this important issue.
