Dear AHV Neighbors,
This is to advise you that your AHVA Board of Directors resolved, in its meeting last 02 August 2023, to increase the rates of our village water service by 37% effective the October 2023 billing cycle (pertaining to the consumption cycle covering the period 03 September to 03 October 2023).
The increase in water rates is necessary to offset the increase in our water service operating costs resulting from higher Maynilad tariffs, as well as power rates and labor cost increases, among others.
Furthermore, the AHVA Board intends to utilize a portion of the increase in water revenues to allow us to build up capital reserves in order to fund delayed and now badly needed repairs and upgrades of our internal water production system throughout the village.
For perspective, kindly note that the last water service rate increase in the village was in 2016, seven (7) years prior to these new rates.
