MAINTENANCE OF SWIMMING POOLS
Dear AHV Community Members,
We have received several inquiries from our neighbors who have swimming pools in their properties. We are issuing this bulletin to request all residents with swimming pools to please conduct SELF-MAINTENANCE and SELF-CLEANING of your pools during this ECQ period, to avoid stagnant water that may breed mosquitoes that cause dengue and other diseases.
We looked up some tips on on how to self-maintain and self-clean the pools:
- Skim leaves and other floating debris from the surface of the pool.
- Clean dirt and debris from the bottom and sides of the pool.
- Clean out the strainer baskets in the pool pump and other pool machinery.
- Test the water for pH levels, alkalinity and chlorine levels.
For those of you who do not wish to do self-cleaning and self-maintenance, we have a resident who is offering their services to do POOL CLEANING. You may consider contacting our neighbor, MRS. IRIS AUSTRIA at 0917-5204747. They have been servicing some of our neighbors’ pools already and while their team cannot enter the village during ECQ, Mr. Austria and their sons are the ones personally servicing the pools inside the village.
On the other hand, should you feel that your pool needs to be drained already, we can ask the help of the Barangay Fire Truck to drain the water from your pool. You can contact Ms. Lanie Rosas so she can coordinate and schedule this with the barangay on your behalf.
Also, if you know of any abandoned house with a pool, please inform Ms. Rosas so she can contact the homeowner and coordinate how we can have those pools drained as necessary.
