As of March 31, 2020, we have a total of 662 MEMBERS in the ALABANG HILLS COMMUNITY Viber Group. Thank you to all of you who are providing us the information to add other neighbors and residents to the group. We urge you to continue to do that so we can reach as much members of our community in this group.
Please expect more bulletins to be posted in the coming days to address our community’s basic need for leadership and guidance during this crisis, to address your various questions and concerns, and to continue to solicit volunteers to join our committees to help serve our community better. That being said, we need to reiterate the following:
(1) We hope that everyone understands that we process and validate a lot of raw information received on a daily basis in order to provide information that is ACCURATE, BALANCED, and ESSENTIAL to our community well-being. Daily updates may not be possible or even necessary until we are able to completely process and validate the information received.
(2) Since our first COVID update, the National Privacy Commission (NPC) has issued guidelines on press releases which we need to abide by in our updates. Because of these guidelines, please do not expect us to give out specific information on any COVID case (such as names of patients, their location or condition) that has already been reported to the DOH. Such information is not required for our residents to take extreme precautions. We need to STRICTLY observe Home Quarantine rules and even assume that our next-door neighbors may possibly be COVID cases themselves.
If any of you see our neighbors STILL walking, running or biking around the village, please help PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY by politely asking them to STAY HOME and follow Quarantine Rules, for their own good and for ours too.
Some residents are also asking what we can do to help our neighbors that tested positive with the virus. The best thing we can do for them for now is to continue to offer prayers for their speedy recovery.
We will regularly provide communication based on the latest release of the City of Muntinlupa on COVID patient count, which includes official information on our village and barangay numbers, as well as the DOH national tallies. This will be posted daily. It may be good to note that national testing capacities is increasing with the approval of rapid testing kits, thus the number of COVID cases reported is expected to rise. This is not necessarily a negative development, so please do not be alarmed.
Let us stay FOCUSED, RESPECTFUL and COMPASSIONATE my fellow villagers. We can overcome this crisis together as ONE AHV Community!
Yours truly,
TIGGS CARONONGAN
AHVA President
