AHVA Bulletin No. 2023-1006
Dear AHV Neighbors,
We would like to inform you that the Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA) is currently conducting the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF) which covers all households in the city.
In the PSA letter to the Association dated August 14, 2023, but which was received by AHVA only this month, it is stated that:
“The 2022 CAF aims to determine the structural characteristics of agriculture and fishery sectors in the country, provide sampling frame for the conduct of periodic agricultural and fishery surveys, provide basic data on agricultural, aquaculture, and fishing characteristics for use in the government’s national and local development planning, and to provide data on agricultural, aquaculture, and fishery facilities and services available in the barangay.
The 2022 CAF will cover all households in our area with or without engagement on the agricultural, aquacultural, and fishing operations. This undertaking will also cover households reside in your area but their agricultural, aquacultural, and fishing operations are in another city, province, or region.”
In view of this, all AHV homeowners will be visited by Census Enumerators & Supervisors, escorted by our roving guards, from October 24 to November 10, 2023, 9:00am to 3:00pm (except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) to conduct the said 2022 CAF.
PSA ensures us that all the data that will be gathered by their enumerators will be held strictly confidential pursuant to Section 26 of Republic Act No. 10625. We have been told further that the data will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or enforcement procedures, nor will they be published except in the form of statistical summaries in which no reference to any person shall appear.
If possible, kindly assign one member of your family/household to be interviewed by the Census enumerators.
