MODERNA VACCINATION ON MAY 13 TO INCLUDE 2ND BOOSTER SHOTS FOR IMMUNOCOMPROMISED INDIVIDUALS (ONLY)

Dear AHV Neighbors,

This is to remind you that we will be conducting a Moderna Covid-19 vaccination event for second dose and booster shot registrants this Friday, May 13, from 8am to 12noon at the Multi-Purpose Pavilion. In addition, 2nd booster shots will also be administered but only for immunocompromised individuals as regulated by the Dept. of Health. For the safety of immunocompromised individuals, vaccination will be done via DRIVE-THRU at the Clubhouse entrance. Schedule will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. So far, 54 residents have already registered for both the morning and afternoon vaccination events.

If you have not yet had your second dose of the vaccine, please ensure that you will have met the REQUISITE 30-DAY INTERVAL between your first and second doses by this Friday.

Likewise, those wanting to get their first booster shot, please ensure that you will have met the REQUISITE 90-DAY INTERVAL between your second dose and booster shot.

For immunocompromised individuals wanting to get their second booster shot, please ensure that you will have met the REQUISITE 120-DAY INTERVAL between your first and second booster shots.

Immunocompromised individuals are strictly defined by the DOH as those in or with
a. Immunodeficiency state,
b. HIV,
c. Active cancer or malignancy,
d. Transplant recipients,
e. Undergoing steroid treatment,
f. Patients with poor prognosis / bed-ridden patients, and
g. Other conditions of immunodeficiency as certified by a physician.

A current Medical Certificate must be presented to be administered a second booster shot, as required by the DOH.

To be added to the list for vaccination this Friday, please call Pauline at tel. nos. 8850-8254, 8850-9631 or 0906-0232089 as soon as possible. Listing will done on a “first-come/first-served” basis. The registration cut-off time for this Friday’s event is 10:00am Thursday, May 12.

The next vaccination events will be held as follows:
•May 27
•June 10
•June 24

Further, as mentioned in our previous bulletins pertaining to Moderna vaccination events, we are continuing to look into the contracts/agreements entered into between AHVA and third parties for the purchase and administration of the vaccines. When we are done with our review, we will issue a report to you as promised in our Team CommUNITY Manifesto. Please bear with us as we work through this detailed review.
